Because it’s important to us. It’s really that simple.
Five principles guide NovusJuris in its pursuits.
- Attorneys are uniquely equipped with a capacity for social good.
- Well-equipped, empowered, solo attorneys can reduce the cost of, as well as increase access to, legal representation in under-served and under-privileged communities.
- Using technology we can lower the friction of starting a solo practice, lower operating costs and reduce barriers to entry.
- Creating an open source body of knowledge, document repository, discussion forums and group sharing fosters a stronger, more intelligent, educated, up-to-date, agile, adaptable and competent profession.
- Our tools should be as widely available as possible, to help create an environment of equal opportunity, especially for those that are underrepresented and discriminated against.
We are committed to building a sustainable model while advancing the broad interests of solos and small firms looking to build a practice. In turn, we are asking you to pay our advocacy forward.
We will be offering every user an opportunity to join The Assembly. A tier that will give you access to the same premium features as Stakeholders, $90 annually, for free. Initially, we have decided to advocate two pillars of our profession: Participation and Social Advocacy.
It is my hope that a vast majority, if not all, of the users will see the value in the more fulfilling parts of our profession. Our personhood has long been a champion of social causes. It’s important to celebrate and reward those that contribute.
Do good. Do well. Godspeed.
